I’m trying something new at work. Every month (opposite the journal reading group) I’m going to host an emerging technology discussion group. The first one is tomorrow, and to get us off to a good start I though I’d go with something that people in the library would be interested in their personal life, might find relevant for work, and would show that emerging technologies can be fun. The topic? Biblio Social Software. You know: GoodReads, LibraryThing, Shelfari, etc. I plan to run through a quick presentation just to get us on the same page, then let everyone poke around and ask questions as they come up.
